In the heart of our community, the Asa Mai Hindu Afghani Temple stands not just as a beacon of faith, but as a testament to the power of collective action. This revered location has witnessed countless prayers, festivals, and moments of spiritual reflection. This month, it also becomes the backdrop for a significant community-driven event: a food drive hosted by PanRelief.

Mark Your Calendars!

PanRelief is elated to announce our upcoming food drive, which will take place on Sunday, August 13th, 2023, at the Asa Mai Hindu Temple. As we've always believed, small acts, when multiplied by thousands of people, can transform the world. Our aim with this food drive is to bring our community together to make a meaningful and lasting impact.

Why This Matters

Food security is an ever-persistent concern in many parts of the world, and even in our own community, there are families who struggle to put food on their tables. By joining hands, we not only provide immediate relief but also send a powerful message of unity and compassion.

What to Donate

We welcome non-perishable food items, including:

  • Canned fruits and vegetables

  • Pasta and rice

  • Cereal and oatmeal

  • Canned proteins (tuna, chicken, beans)

  • Peanut butter

  • Soups and stews

  • And more...

Please ensure that the items you donate are within their expiry dates and are unopened.

Volunteers Make the Difference

We are in search of compassionate volunteers to help us on the day of the event. From organizing donations to interacting with the donors, your assistance will be instrumental in making this food drive a success.

A Day of Community

Beyond just the act of donating, this day promises to be one of community and connection. The Asa Mai Hindu Temple has graciously agreed to be our venue, and its serene ambiance will only add to the spirit of giving and togetherness. We invite you to stay, mingle, and perhaps even learn a bit more about the cultural and spiritual significance of the temple.

Wrapping Up

A food drive is more than just collecting cans; it’s about nourishing hope, reinforcing our shared humanity, and reminding each other that when times are tough, we have an entire community to lean on.

Join us at the Asa Mai Hindu Temple on Sunday, August 13th. Together, with love, compassion, and unity, we can and will make a difference. We hope to see you there!

Remember, in the words of Mother Teresa, "If you can't feed a hundred people, then feed just one." Let's come together and make this event a beacon of hope for those in need.

For more information or to volunteer, please visit our website or reach out to PanRelief's dedicated team. Spread the word and let's make this a day to remember!
